Technologist, History Lover, Genealogist, & Traveler

I was born and raised in Maine. Three of my grandparents served during WWII. Following in their footsteps, I joined the military as soon as I could. While in the service, I went to school and learned the technology trade. After eight years, I decided to leave the service and focus on a career in technology. One day in 1998, my Grandfather Allen R. Crooker, Sr. decided to share a box of photos with me to see if I could figure out who they were. Fortunately, his Grandmother Algenora (Bradbury) Crooker had written clues on the cartes de visite and cabinet cards. I managed to identify nearly all of them. After that, I quickly fell in love with history and genealogy. I wish Gramp was still here to discuss everything that I have learned since then. One of my daughters has become an assistant. She enjoys going to reenactments, forts and battle sites with with me. A few years back, I earned the Boston University Certificate in Genealogical Research. My main focus with all of this is to study and learn more about the Revolutionary War and the people that participated in it.
